Ingredients:
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare Pan:
- Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- Combine Ingredients:
- In a medium-sized saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, butter, and chocolate chips over low heat.
- Melt and Stir:
- Stir continuously until the chocolate chips are melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Add Vanilla and Nuts:
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in vanilla extract. If using nuts, fold them into the mixture.
- Pour into Pan:
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Chill:
- Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours or until the fudge is set.
- Cut into Squares:
- Once the fudge is firm, use the parchment paper overhang to lift it out of the pan. Place it on a cutting board and cut into squares.
