Macaroni Salad

Classic Macaroni Salad Recipe:


  • 2 cups elbow macaroni, cooked and cooled
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped (optional)
  • Paprika for garnish


  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain, rinse with cold water, and let it cool completely.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, white vinegar, Dijon mustard, sugar, salt, and pepper to create the dressing.
  3. Add the cooled macaroni to the dressing and toss until evenly coated.
  4. Fold in the celery, red bell pepper, red onion, sweet pickle relish, and chopped hard-boiled eggs (if using).
  5. Refrigerate the macaroni salad for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.
