Chili Cheese Dog Bake


  • 8 hot dog buns, split
  • 8 beef hot dogs
  • 2 cups chili (homemade or canned)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes


  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish large enough to hold the hot dog buns.
  2. Arrange the hot dog buns in the prepared baking dish.
  3. Place a hot dog in each bun.
  4. Spoon chili over each hot dog.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the chili-covered hot dogs.
  6. Scatter diced onions and sliced jalapeños (if using) over the cheese.
  7. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley flakes. Brush this mixture over the tops of the hot dog buns.
  8. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
