Jalapeño Popper Mushrooms

Jalapeño Popper Mushrooms are a delightful appetizer or side dish that combines the flavors of jalapeño poppers with savory mushrooms. Here’s a recipe to make them:

  • 12 large white mushrooms, cleaned and stems removed
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2-3 jalapeños, seeded and finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or olive oil

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and lightly grease with cooking spray or olive oil.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced jalapeños, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Spoon the cream cheese mixture into the cavity of each mushroom, filling them generously.
  4. Place the stuffed mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart to allow for even cooking.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden and bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
  7. Optionally, you can garnish the stuffed mushrooms with chopped fresh parsley or additional grated Parmesan cheese before serving.

Enjoy your delicious Jalapeño Popper Mushrooms as a tasty appetizer or side dish!
